LiveCompanion

Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect on livecompanion.app and through the LiveCompanion licence check, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

Sinewave Audio SAS, 8 rue Maurice Bokanowski, 92600 Asnières-sur-Seine, France, SIREN 918 698 101, represented by its President, Kevin Larquier. Contact for any privacy question: contact@sinewaveaudio.fr.

What we collect and why

We do not collect your card or bank details. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

Payments: Paddle

Purchases are made through Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and country to take the payment, calculate sales tax, issue the invoice and prevent fraud. Paddle acts as an independent data controller for this data, under its own privacy policy. Paddle sends us the transaction details we need to deliver your licence (transaction number, product, your email and country).

The LiveCompanion app

The app contacts our licence server (Keygen) to activate your Mac and check your licence from time to time. It sends your licence key and the Mac details listed above. Audio, transcriptions, setlists and show recordings are processed on your Mac and on your local network (for example with LiveCompanion Viewer); they are not sent to us.

Service providers

We use the following processors, which handle data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement:

When data is transferred outside the European Union, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary: they keep you logged in to your account. They do not need your consent. On the checkout page, Paddle may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, ask for a copy in a portable format, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and restrict processing. To use these rights or delete your account, write to contact@sinewaveaudio.fr from the email address of your account. We answer within one month. Deleting your account deactivates your licences.

If you think your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority of your country.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will email you about important changes.
